Journal Entry 4.2 - Level Design Endgame
My previous level design entry contained a little too much text so this time I tried to integrate what I had in mind in a more visual way. I am no artist so it itsn't exactly pretty, but I think it gets the job done. This was a relatively small level but even so I had problems fitting all the information in one place without it becoming overcrowded.
I wanted to use pixel art to realize this, but I quickly realized some things just weren't possible due to the nature of the technique. Raster image editors resolved most of my issues but things never looks as crisp as I would like them to and scaling was still a big issue. Now I've come to see why vector based editors like inkscape are prefect for this task, but I haven't been able to learn working with them yet. I will definitely look more into them for my future designs if for nothing else.
PS: I know its after the deadline, so its fine if you wont accept it. I will do my best not to be late in the future ✌️.
