Journal Entry 3.1 - Tutorials
28.3.2021 – Going through more turorials – about 2 hrs – Achieved better understanding of the scripting process in unity
The whole unity workflow is coming around beautifully. Using scripts and the fact that they are just game object components is another feature of unity that just "makes sense". It works exactly like you would want it to. The highlight for me is definitely the ability to expose variables to the editor, so they can be easily tweaked. I also appreciate utility functions like LookAt, that let you skip the process of writing cumbersome vector code. At the time of writing this, I haven't yet had time to go throught the roll-a-ball tutorial, but I definitely want to do it later to have a more hands on experience with the scripting process.
